LangChain Certified Agent Engineer (LCAE) exam: FAQ

Here are quick answers to the questions we hear most about scheduling, results, resits, and support for the LCAE exam. For the exam format and rules, check out What is the LangChain Certified Agent Engineer exam? and the exam guide.

Can I pay now and schedule my exam later?

Yes! There's no expiration date or time limit, so you can book a slot whenever you're ready. You can also reschedule as often as you like, as long as it's not within 48 hours of your start time.

How do I cancel or reschedule my exam?

You can do this yourself using the "Cancel" or "Change your slot" buttons near the bottom of your confirmation email from no-reply@talview.org.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

1. Exams can't be cancelled for a refund or rescheduled within 48 hours of the start time.

2. Joining more than 10 minutes after your start time counts as a no-show, and you'll need to reschedule at full cost. We recommend joining at least 15 minutes early for your ID check and room scan.

I haven't received my exam invites. What should I do?

You'll receive two invites: one for the proctored exam itself, and one to a dedicated LangSmith organization, sent roughly two hours before your start time. If either hasn't arrived by two hours before your exam, contact support@talview.com.

When will I get my results?

Within 72 hours of your exam ending. If you pass, your certificate will arrive by email from Accredible. If not, you'll get an email with more information on booking a resit.

I didn't pass. How do I book a resit?

Every exam purchase comes with one free resit. To use it:

1. Email support@talview.com to request your resit code. They'll check your eligibility and send it over.

2. Book your resit through the same portal you used for your first attempt.

You can resit as many times as you like. Attempts beyond your free resit require paying the full exam fee again, and any discount or partner codes you're eligible for still apply.

Just a heads up: last-minute cancellations and late joins don't qualify for an additional free resit.

I had technical problems during my exam. What should I do?

Sorry about that! Email support@talview.com and the Talview team will look into it. If warranted, they'll provide a free resit.

To avoid issues on the day, check your machine against Talview's system requirements and make sure your network connection is stable. Sessions ended by a connection problem on your side aren't eligible for a refund.

Do you offer discount codes?

We don't currently offer public discount codes. If you're a LangChain customer or partner, check with your account team or partner contact, as codes are sometimes available.
